All of these pendants were expertly
handmade. The word cloisonné means partition or section. Each piece
begins with a copper base, then copper strips are soldered onto it.
It is then painted with enamel and baked 5 separate times. It is later
hand-ground, polished to a flat smooth surface then gold plated. (Many of the new style cloisonné pieces skip some steps and they have raised sections.) These beautiful pieces are all vintage, and look fabulous with our cloisonné beads and our old stock cinnabar!
