Green & Red Venetian Striped Trade Beads

Late 19th century Venetian green and red striped glass beads. They are hand crafted and cut in a rounded barrel shape with flat ends. These beads are very nice quality with perfectly straight red and yellow stripes. Beads with this color combination are sometimes called Watermelons. They were made for trade in Africa. They are 6mm in diameter and have a thickness of 4-5mm. They still have a nice glossy finish.
