These are great vintage cinnabar beads were deeply carved by hand in a floral pattern. They were made long ago with a process that involved slowly adding many layers of cinnabar lacquer over a wood base. The cinnabar mineral was found to be toxic, so true cinnabar beads can no longer be made. We just love the look of these mixed with our cloisonne beads.

These are vintage cinnabar beads that were deeply carved by hand in a floral pattern. These are large ovals, with a central flower. We just love the look of these beads mixed with our cloisonne beads.

They were made long ago with a process that involved slowly adding many layers of cinnabar lacquer and over a wood base.
