Italian Red Coral Horn Beads All Natural Cornicello (2)
2- Italian dark red coral horn pendants. They are amulets of ancient origin worn to protect against the evil eye, in Italian cornuto, corno, or cornicello. Corno means "horn" and cornicello means "little horn" -- these names refer to a long, gently twisted horn-shaped amulet. These have a hole drilled through the top. They are solid red and have been polished to a shiny finish. They are all natural and you can see some of the pits and color variations that occur in red coral. They average 1 inch in length and the top is approximately 4mm in diameter.
