A really wonderful one of a kind, bracelet made out of Fossilized Walrus Ivory! It has a rich color palette of tans, yellows and creams in the two layers of the dentine of the tusk. The tusk has been sliced into long ovals cross sections and polished to show its beauty. The edges of the slices have been left natural. The tusk has picked up the dark coloration from the minerals in the ground where it was buried for thousands of years. The inner core of secondary dentine has a central "crystalline" area. Really interesting grain on the surface looks like fine oatmeal or applesauce. It has gorgeous beautiful and natural patterns. The slices are strung on elastic and is very comfortable to wear. It is legal to own and sell, as it is collected and dug up in arctic regions, around Alaska and carved by native Inupiaq and Yupik artisans.
