Lee Sands Red Sponge Coral Elephant Brooch

Striking red coral mosaic brooch fashioned into an elephant's face designed by Lee Sands. The elephant has mother of pearl eyes and tusks as accents. Wonderful example of modernist and figural jewelry that was popular in the 1970's. This is natural red coral that has not been dyed. The back has black resin plastic on it to stabilize the design and make it sturdy.  This vintage coral brooch is in Excellent condition. We have a matching elephant necklace.
