Vintage WWII Army Navy E Hat or Lapel Pin. This item is a vintage World War II Army-Navy "E" Excellence Production Award Pin. These pins were awarded to companies and their employees for excellence in producing war equipment. It features a central letter "E" inside a wreath, set against a background of red, white, and blue enameled bars. The award was presented to only about 5% of wartime industries between 1942 and 1945.
