Black Coral & Sterling Silver Earrings Vintage Hawaiian

Wonderful Hawaiian black coral earrings. Each earring features 3 black coral branches dangling from sterling silver french wires. Black coral is now endangered and getting rare, these branches are all natural. You can see the brown veining and it gives the coral lots of character. For many years people have believed coral has protective powers. It was often gifted to children and relatives. You will be surprised by the feel of black coral and how light weight it is. In the 1950's Hawaiian black coral was found at extreme depths exceeding 175 feet. It has long been a Hawaiian favorite gemstone.
