Antique Large Yemen Sterling Silver Granulated Beads

These large sterling silver beads were hand crafted by Yemenite silversmiths, and were commonly used in Bedouin jewelry from Yemen or Arabia. They are created using a granulation technique, where small silver balls are applied or soldered onto the surface to create a textured, pebbled appearance known as Bawsani silverwork. These late 18th century silver beads feature a stacked, multi-tiered design, commonly referred to as "four tier" or "berry" beads. These beads are authentic antiques, once worn as components in traditional necklaces. They are not modern reproductions. These are highly sought after by collectors of ethnic jewelry and high-end jewelry designers. Beads will vary slightly since they are handmade. They are sold individually and the weights listed are an average. They have 3-4mm punched holes. They test to have a sterling silver content.
