African Sandcast Mixed Trade Beads Necklace

These are African sandcast glass trade beads in the Akoso style. These antique beads were made in Ghana many years ago from pulverized glass. The beads are mixed in color and design. The glass colors are poured into a clay mold to create the tube beads. These beads are strung on a natural cord. These are lovely colors and will add a wonderful ethnic look to your jewelry. The Ghananians have been making beads in this manner since the 1600s.
