These are large Karl Lagerfeld signed Sunburst dangle pierced earrings. These luxurious Paris Couture earrings are gold-plated with faux baroque pearls. These fashionable runway style earrings were created in the 1980s! The bases are 18K gold plated sunbursts, which are center set with simulated pearl cabochons. From these sunbursts, large pear shaped baroque glass pearls with gold leaf caps are suspended. Each earring is signed on the back with Karl Lagerfeld's script "KL" in a circle. These earrings have an astronomical motif, one of Lagerfeld's often used themes.
Earrings measure 2 inches in length and 3/4 inches in width. I find almost no wear to either metal or pearls and they are in near-mint condition. The creamy white pear shaped drops measure almost and inch long.
