A Victorian era carved red coral floral brooch. The beautiful, antique three dimensional flower was hand carved from a single piece of Italian red coral. This 19th century brooch is a lush chrysanthemum intricately carved from deep red oxblood natural coral is. It is mounted on a abalone shell base and has gold-filled wire with a C-clasp. In excellent condition with no cracks, flaws or chips. The coral is all natural and has not been dyed. The Italians are master carvers and this is just a gorgeous and fine example of their skill. The antique flower has delicate features and depth.
