Brown Fossil Gemstone Bead Strands

Beautiful polished beads in a mottled brown color. This is a natural stone made from the fossilized remains of numerous tiny sea creatures. The natural color is a yellowish off -white with speckles and subtle veining. It can be permanently dyed and sealed in many rich colors. Fossil makes wonderful additions to your jewelry because they have the look and feel of more expensive gemstones. Fossil stone is unique to Taiwan and is a dense limestone containing microscopic marine fossils. Because of the nature of this material, no two beads are alike and the patterns and shading are unique to each bead. Fossil stone also takes a wonderful polish as you can see in the photographs and can be dyed a variety of colors and we have it in many colors.
