Monies Gerda Lynggaard Horn Statement Necklace BOHO

This is a stylish and dramatic multi-strand horn necklace designed by Gerda Lynggaard for Monies. She calls her jewelry "Wearable Art". It consists of multiple strands of black leather draped through three large horn disks. The horn has beautiful colors and grain patterns. It is about 20 inches and it drapes down an additional 2 inches. Everything about this necklace is high quality and fabulous design. It is in excellent condition. Characteristic handcrafted MONIES clasp.  

The Monies brand was founded in Denmark by Gerda Lynggaard and her husband Nikolai Monies in the 1970's. She is known for only using gorgeous natural and organic materials including bone, seeds, horn, wood, and leather. They became very successful and  they now have boutiques in every fashion capitol in the world. Their items are highly collectible and very expensive. The early pieces were marked with only paper tags.
