This is a gold plated Don Quixote story panel bracelet with four vignettes relating to the adventures of the Man of La Mancha. Don Quixote of La Mancha is a Spanish novel by Miguel de Cervantes. It was published in the 1600's. and is regarded as one of the funniest and most tragic books ever written, Don Quixote chronicles the adventures of the self-created knight-errant Don Quixote of La Mancha and his faithful squire, Sancho Panza, as they travel through sixteenth-century Spain. Each panel link is a cut-out engraved scene from the novel. The end medallion is a portrait which is either the author Cervantes or the imagined Quixote. The bracelet measures 7.5 inches long, not including the dangling portrait charm. There is some wear to the gold plated, mostly on the back.
